At Five Stones,
we have created a non-traditional missions department
in which a family of five non-profits and NGOs have been established to carry out our global dreams.
Because we serve in some areas of great sensitivity and danger, we cannot list the formal names of these organizations. However, through these ministries we are seeking to advance God's kingdom through the following strategic initiatives: leadership training, church planting, marketplace ministries, humanitarian aid deployment, disaster relief and community development training to university campuses, compassion trips, for-profit initiatives, micro-loan programs and more! |
Because we know the next generation of leaders will come from the campuses, we started the Student Mobilization program in order to train, equip, and open doors of opportunity for students & young professionals to participate in humanitarian work. Our desire to to deepen each person's ability to assist, whether in a volunteer, part-time or full-time capacity. Since our approach is holistic and comprehensive, our aim is to mobilize students broadly, from business to government to education and the like. What is SEC (Social Entrepreneurship Challenge) ?SEC is a competition consisting of teams, and each team is issued an amount of $100 that they will use as a start-up cost to raise as much funds they can in a period of 6 weeks. All funds raised go towards HISG sponsored projects. The Humanitarian International Services Group (HISG) has hosted its first annual Social Entrepreneurship Challenge at SFU in 2011 summer. |
